Everything was in our favour for this walk. Excellent weather forecast, which was correct! A two group walk with Bangor Bethesda and our own Ca/Cw Group.
A coastal walk, which has not been on our programme for some time. Thirty two people turned up from a variety of Groups, including Ynys Mon - Meirionnydd. With the radios to keep front and back in contact, hi vis vests in place we were set for a good walk. Graham and Pat did not disappoint with their choice, long views over the sea, interesting geological features in the cliffs, natural archways carved by the sea, even an inlet through the cliffs to a small lagoon in a field! We shared a sad, but admiring thought for Tyger the amazing retriever, that saved his masters family from drowning following shipwreck off the coast, to slip exhausted himself into the sea. Shades of Gelert, though this story possibly true!
Some of us hung back to pick handfuls of field mushrooms as big as dinner plates for supper, delicious. We did not bump into the Cambridge's, but renewed the Rambling experience that makes us proud to be Ramblers and keeps us wanting more.
Well done and thanks to Graham and Pat.
