We launched our programme of coastal walks with a gentle start, just 3.5 miles. It may have been short, but it packed a punch plus an extra added surprise!
A brisk sunny coldish day, just right for walking. Margaret our leader greeted us, but handed over the leadership to Edmund, as she was unwell. Twenty three people enjoyed a very gentle (R)amble, through Trefor Village, up into the hills behind. Whereupon Jamal and Diane jumped at the chance to invite us into their delightful estate, for the traditional coffee stop. How did thirty minutes pass so quickly? On through the back lanes, whose banks were profuse with wild flowers, to a delightful cove, where we had an extended lunch picnic. The best was to come as we strolled along the cliff tops back to Trefor, passing Ynys Bach and Ynys Fawr rocky outcrops heaving with sea birds. The gulls on one, the cormorants on the other. Eventually we arrived back at Trefor. We might be putting in a bid for the most leisurely walk ever. It was just right!
