Paths that Lead to Adventure. This Saturday 25th November.
If you can join me on this six mile circular walk I am sure that you will not be disappointed with your expectations. The weather forecast is for sunshine and maybe snow showers which will really add a glow to the scenery. This will be the opportunity to recover from today’s rain and high winds.
We meet at the Moel Y Ci Farm SH593 678 for our 10.15am start along the Lon Las Ogwen to enjoy the autumn woodland colours including the golden colours of the maple leaf. We go over the Felin Hen bridge opened October 2011 and painted in the colours of the Welsh flag. Here we have the site of the old railway cottages with the site of the Felin Hen Halt railway station nearby. Next we go through the village of Glasinfryn with its ancient road bridge over the Afon Cegin . We then walk on paths cleared by Tim Taclo LLybrau and include a visit to Tyn Y frydd holiday glumping pods before making our way back for a panad refreshment at the Moel Y Ci Café.
A lovely walk, lots of splendid history and little used paths. I look forward to seeing you.
