Eleven of us joined the Anglesey coastal path at Port Amlwch which we followed as far as Porth Eilian .The weather conditions were reasonable with just the odd spot of rain in the wind.
We had a short coffee stop on the beach at Porth Eilian after which we turned inland and then made our way up to the top of Mynydd Eilian which was the high point of our walk 574ft!!It was much windier on the top so we quite soon started making our way back to sea level eventually reaching the coastal path again which we followed back to the car park at Port Amlwch.
We were lucky to find a coffee shop nearby and all enjoyed a welcome refreshment before leaving for home.
Six miles, fresh air, exercise and good company and a typical autumn day. It was good to be out walking.
