Fort Belan Walk – Saturday 30 December

Despite the strong winds seventeen of us turned out for the C&D end of the year walk, and despite Dafydd deciding to test the load bearing capabilities of the edge of the sea mud near the fort (he won’t do that again!), we all returned safely. The wind eased, the clouds cleared, no rain fell, Hefina found us some seats for lunch at the fort, and the toilets had been left open for us – what more could we want?!

Back at the airport most of us had time for tea, cake and more chat before heading for home. Thanks to all those who came along, and for contributing to our £34 donation towards repairs at Fort Belan. A tiny fraction of what is needed, but it all helps.
