The Four Valleys Path

Gwynedd Council have asked if we could survey and report on the condition of the 'The Four Valleys Path' during April. Full mapping and report forms will be supplied and a short section only will be allocated to you.

If you fancy a hike through the hills and valleys of north Gwynedd this is your opportunity. the Valleys Walk is an 18 mile long walk through the Nantlle, Gwyrfai, Padarn and Ogwen valleys – the former slate mining valleys. The walk skirts along the Snowdonia National Park boundary, between Penygroes and Bethesda and passes through many local villages.

An improvement grant for major work and any new footpath furniture will be available with a Welsh Assembly Improvement Grant. The volunteers will be doing all the clearing of vegetation, way marking etc over the next few months.

Please let me know if you would like to take part and I will get in touch with you as soon as the paperwork is available.

Many thanks in anticipation of your very valued support with this very worthwhile challenge.

Regards

Graham.
