Sunday 24 April – Cwm Merch and Cwm Llan

Hot on the heels of Mickeys coast walk on Anglesey, Sunday’s walk takes us somewhat higher and more rugged, including a visit to the remains of the Lliwedd Copper Mine high up Lliwedd. Above Cwm Merch, this is the first of the copper mines we will see, with the South Snowdon Slate Works in Cwm Llan coming later in the day. All just an excuse to have a walk somewhere different ….although it is a Sunday, and part of the walk includes the Watkin Path! Also different is the clapper bridge we will be crossing, quite spectacular when the river is in flood. See you on Sunday.
