Start from Car Park behind Joe Brown's SH720583
Crimpiau is a great little mountain with (weather permitting) great views of Snowdon, Siabod, Tryfan, Carneddau and Glyderau and many other places North, South, East and west.
The ascent is a bit steep in places but is fairly easy and will be taken at my usual leisurely pace.
After descending from the summit we join the Drover's track and descend to the head of llyn Crafnant. An easy ascent through the forest leads us to forest tracks winding back to the valley with views across to Crimpiau. A grassy downhill (can't really class it as a descent) brings us back to the Drover's track with about a mile to go to the cars, the cafe or the pub.
It is a genuine 8 miles and there is an easier alternative if you don't fancy over Crimpiau. Just follow the Drover's track and we'll meet up in a couple of miles!¬
