A bright autumn day greeted a dozen walkers on Mickeys familiar walk through Beddgelert Forest and back via the Snowdon Rhyd Ddu path. This was our first time to experience part of the thousands of pounds new path from Rhyd Ddu to Beddgelert. This multi use path (Walkers - Bikes - Horses) was ten years in the planning. It was always a bridle way, but had plank bridges and ladder stiles! Now built to European standards, even beautiful stone built mounting blocks, great exposition boards, clear sign posting. WOW. We actually used the old path just a little higher, boggy and across a stream, but we caught a glimpse of the splendid new route. Back along the Snowdon Rhyd Ddu path to the start at Waunfawr. The Dutch tea room was shut, so the party split up to go home so no post walk de-briefing.
