On a beautiful but chilly morning nine of us set of from Pen Llyn to join Micky on his annual Padarn Country park walk.
The walk took us from Brynrefail cross country to Clwt y Bont we then up to Dinorwic. We had a breezy lunch stop at the view point in the Dinorwic Quarry. The views of the Snowdon Massif and Llanberis Pass from there were spectacular. From here we entered the country park and weaved our way on paths, tracks and country lanes back to Brynrefail were refreshment’s were taken in the.Caban eight of us had tea or coffee, guess who had something stronger!!.
For me the high-lights of the walk were the scenery and that apart from a bit of snow in the quarry the rest of the walk was bone dry underfoot!! It was lovely to be able to put your foot down onto a rocky bit knowing it wasn’t going to slip.
Thank you Micky for a great walk.
