Just 3,75 miles who would have thought it? The advice from other successful groups is, that short walks are a must, in any walks programme. But Graham our leader for the day was right, it seemed much longer. He had carefully prepared the coffee stop in a private garden, overlooking Llyn Padarn. The route made sure that we walked a recently cleared footpath completed by none other than by our very own group, on one of its first working parties. Graham had done his homework to make the walk full of interest including making sure the Slate Quarry Hospital was open.
We dodged heavy showers on the way back up to the car park a steep ascent but well engineered into steps, passing the Dinorwig Barracks.
Eighteen people agreed it was not the length, but the quality of the walk that was it's success.
New member Hannah will be along again for the next walk.
Thanks to Graham and Pat.
