Thanks for a good walk yesterday, Guto. It might have been wet under foot, and the sky dark at times, but what a great mix of paths you found for us. Early on our two minutes of silence at 11am saw us high on the hill, looking across Llyn Peris to the Dinorwig quarries, perhaps reflecting on the many men who must have left there to fight in both world wars. We walked or splashed along six winding miles, though it seems we were always within a couple of miles of our start at the Royal Victoria Hotel. The hotel was a welcoming finishing point for a convivial half hour over coffee, tea, hot water (!) and some nice Glaslyn beer. All in all, a cracking day out, Gromit.
