The forecast was mist and fog, so on a bright sunny day we set off with Micky, all smiles, everything was looking good for this his third attempt to reach Llanddwyn Island. The tides had been checked, high tide at 10am, so ebbing all day. Eighteen people were ready to go. The timing was perfect just a little water left to paddle through to reach the Island. As we looked towards Snowdonia we
realised the forecast was correct, huge banks of mist and cloud hid the coast from Porthmadog southwards. Lunch was take in a beautiful shady sheltered cove below the lighthouse, sunbathing as we ate. The second half of the walk was through Newborough Forest and the cars were soon regained. We gathered to reminisce on a great day at Y Groeslon, Brynsencyn. By the time we reached home the mainland mist had disappeared!
Thanks and well done Micky.
