Penygroes historical ramble

Our first group walk of 2012 attracted 36 ramblers- an excellent start to the New Year. Jean and Edmund came up with a well planned walk giving us a good mix of paths , tracks and lanes with plenty of history thrown in too. Jean was able to point out many places of interest and local lads Ifor and Dafydd had stories to tell of times past and local characters.
At seven miles the walk was a good length to ease us off the sofa and back into action- and the weather was good too!
