After a delayed start,we walked through Coed Doctor onto the lower slopes of Moel Eilio.Our coffee stop was taken behind an old sheep shelter with fine views of the Llanberis pass Elidir and the Glyders this was jut before we joined the main path .

Good progress was made on the climb to the summit of Eilio and lunch was taken behind the wall just below the summit to get us out of the wind with fine views of Snowdon.

We then continued along the ridge taking in the tops of Foel's Gron and Coch before descending the steep slope down to the Bwlch.

The walk continued down the bridal path and crossed the bottom of the valley onto the Snowdon path just in time to see the eventual winner of the Snowdon Race passing, which was a bit of a bonus.

Our final decent was through Coed Victoria down to Llanberis after which we had some welcome refreshment at the "Rose Cottage Cafe" (thanks Vicki) we then, to avoid the congestion in the village due to the race, went the back way via Dolbadarn Castle and following the lake side back to the lagoons car park.
