Opening of the Snowdonia Slate Trail – a celebration
and 50 years of the Snowdonia Society
Come to celebrate the opening of this 85 mile long circular path which enables walkers to explore the industrial heritage of the slate villages of Snowdonia.
This is the culmination of months of hard work by volunteers, organisations and contractors who have been busy establishing this unique path and undertaking a range of exciting projects with schools and communities. The rich heritage and art material created during the project will be a wonderful legacy for visitors and local people to enjoy and appreciate. Come along to see and hear more, and more than anything, to celebrate!
