New Year de tox walk with added interess.

Happy New Year. If your New Year Resolution is to be fitter and slimmer, start tomorrow Saturday January 2nd 10-30am, Caernarfon Airport CP.
This walk is part of the nation wide Festival of Winter Walks. The weather is looking great, cold , dry, with sunny spells. We walk along the spectacular Forydd Bay, full of overwintering birds, so bring a pair of binoculars if you can. Our target is to reach Fort Belan, the owner Jean Blundell, will be walking with us, at the Fort she will give a short history of the Fort, plus an invitation to join in its current activities in music and the arts. The walk will return along the shore line.
It is confession time, on the recce using GPS, we learnt that the walk is nearer six miles than five! However the walk is FLAT and there will be a chance to rest at Fort Belan and be collected by car later. It is high tide at 10-30am, so once we have started the tide will be falling, which is ideal.
At the finish Caernarfon Airport Restaurant are expecting us for Tea - Coffee and lots more if wish. Their bacon butties are well known. Hopefully the weather will be good enough for flying to be possible. The Air Ambulance is of course stationed there.
