Thursday 8 January 2015 Quarry BS Dinorwig OS 591 611

We have decided to alter the proposed route because it is extremely wet with more heavy rain forecast for tomorrow so the alternative route will be in a figure of eight. The first section will go into Padarn Country Park towards the quarries and working our way back up to the view point back to starting point and then following footpaths in Dinorwig and working our way down to Fachwen into Country Park again and back up to the starting point. It will be a walk of about 4/5 miles but there will be some ascent and descent, (you cannot walk far around here without some climbing!)
There will be tea and cake back at our house, some parking in front of the house and in lay-by lower down lane. (the lay-by opposite house will probably occupied by builders working next door)
