This walk was originally planned by Guto Parry, but due to circumstances at the time Guto asked, if necessary, could we lead the walk. However, the good news now is that Guto and Vicky will be joining us and I guess Guto will be very much to the fore! We leave Trefriw with a steady ascent before we reach Llyn Geirionydd. We then continue on a footpath along the west side of the lake, then a short stretch of tarmac before we reach a footpath taking us past Castell y Gwynt and we continue towards the trees where we take a steep downhill footpath that passes many interesting old mine workings before we hit the road back in Trefriw. There are various options for reducing the mileage if weather dictates such, but the walk we reccied with Guto and Vicki is really interesting and well worth completing.
The start time is 10.30am and meet at Trefriw Woollen Mill car park GR780630
