Seven of us did indeed join Graham and Pat on Thursday March 6th. The weather forecast was poor, which meant only a few ventured out, all wearing over trousers. That is what did the trick, NO RAIN AT ALL. Graham recounted the history of the Padarn - Dinorwig railway. Ifor added the social history, to the facts about the railway's construction. Apparently the quarry men had their own designated seat, thus you could see quickly, who was absent!
We passed two hill forts, and lots of evidence of the old railway track. We ensured we were well sheltered from the cool breeze for the mandatory coffee and lunch stops!
