Nigel's wet walk Moel Meirch. Sat March 16

Must have been one of the wettest or the wettest walk underfoot I’ve ever been on. It did rain at the start of the walk but the saturated ground had already been laid down in the days previous. Seven of us set off waterproofs on but they soon came off just before we left Llyn Dinas to head up past the 1805 cottage to the Nant Mor road and following the distinctive path past Hafodydd Brithon to the top of Moel Meirch. We descended by an even more distinctive path to the north end of Llyn Gwynant, heading back via the path alongside the lake and Afon Glaslyn. Special mention goes to Val and Pam for always trekking onwards, and Guto as back marker.
PS the walk was 9.6 miles.

Its sounds like a brave group of people. Hope there were some warm refreshments afterwards?
We must have been on a different planet. The Diocesan walk was fine, cold and bright. Eighteen people turned up, including some escapee ramblers! Warm soup at Canon Geraint Meirion Jones, cakes and tea at Y Fron.
You were the most adventurous and deserve better!
