Ifor has worked really hard to provide us with next Saturday's walk 10am November 3rd. He walked these paths as a young lad, on his way to the seaside. Many of these paths have been forgotten, but he has been quietly clearing the stiles and gates over the last five months to open the paths for us. Some of these stiles should be listed! Crafted in stone and in slate with little iron gates on the top. The paths pass by delightfully restored properties, as well as derelict ones awaiting some TLC. We have lunch in a sheltered spot between Dinas Dinlle and Fort Belan, we then pass by Caernarfon Airport and wend our way back via expensive new sea defences, to the car park. It is just over eight flat miles, but it is wet in places so gaiters are recommended. Afterwards in the Penionnen!!
It is privilege to walk these ancient secret paths with Ifor, he is also a mine of local history and folk lore.
An escape car will be available at the designated lunch spot. The weather might not be favourable, others may not have the time to complete the walk.
