tomen y mur Sunday 11th. March

My walk on Sunday takes us on some little used paths, lanes even a disused railway and roman road ending at the Roman fort and amphitheatre at Tomen y Mur. The trickiest bit is fording a small river which has a few stepping stones - walking poles will come in handy.
There is a small carpark at Tomen y Mur. If approaching from Maentwrog along A487 turn left just after junction with A470 Llan Ffestiniog road by a white house, go under railway bridge and follow lane to car park.
After the walk a drink in one of the pubs in Tremadoc is a possibility.
