Despite its distance this is an easy walk mostly on level ground apart from the climb onto the coastal path from whistling sands.(which can be avoided)
The walk starts from the car park above whistling sands @10am we will then walk down onto the beach and then as previously mentioned climb up onto the coastal path as far as Anelog. From here we turn inland and cross the peninsula on footpaths and lanes and then descend on to Aberdaron beach at Porth Simdde.A short walk along the beach will bring us to Aberdaron from where we will follow the River Daron for a while before turning inland once again to re cross the peninsula on footpaths and tracks eventually hitting the road at Carreg Plas. From here it’s just a short walk along the road back to the car park.
The Llyn Peninsula as a rule gets better weather than anywhere else in Gwynedd, let’s hope it does on the 29th.
