Hi
Did a final recce yesterday in brilliant weather and with great views, hopefully Monday will be the same.
Please note one enforced change as we have to move the 10.30am starting point. The road through Talsarnau is due for resurfacing so the layby where we were due to meet is now a gravel store and likely to be busy.
So we are now meeting at a well disguised parking area towards the south end of the village
If you are coming in a car from the north drive through the village and then turn left into the car park just before the sign for the Estuary Lodge/Motel/B&B.
There are also bus and train options for the walk. The train from Pwllheli arrives in Talsarnau at 10.20am and we are passing the station at the start of the walk
This is an easy mainly coastal walk with just a small uphill section near the end through the rather strangely named Black Wood. This takes us to the hill above Talsarnau for a brilliant all round view of sea and mountains.
If anyone has a dental or other appointment on Monday afternoon it is possible to shorten the walk by skipping the latter section, instead taking a direct path back to the village.
We finish the walk at the Estuary Lodge which serves cake tea coffee and beer!
Look forward to seeing you on Monday
Dave
