This event is fully booked and has been for a long time. I paste below some instructions for those thirty people who have booked for the trip.
I have
been keeping this posting to within forecast reach of Sunday. I am still
not much wiser, certainly some showers, light winds and muggy. Please
come prepared for everything! There is no shelter or facilities
on the island, so bring sun screen, plenty of water and enough food for
the day. I understand many of you have been fixing up sharing cars,
which is excellent. Leave home in good time as it is a long way on slow
roads to Porth Meudwy, then there is a ten minute walk from the CP to
the little harbour. So it is looking good for our adventure.
I have
printed the usual yellow leaflet of our walks from July to December
2010. I will bring supplies with me. These are not designed for
core members like yourself, but to leave in places where people gather,
to publicise our group, 'the best in North Wales' The Welsh version
will not be available for a few weeks, so please do not leave in
Libraries etc, they require the bi-lingual version.
It is vital we
continue to push our group activities as there is always some lapsing
at the other end. Ron is leading some excellent short walks in and
around Beddgelert on Wednesday August 4th and Wednesday August 18th.
These are opportunities to invite those, who want to test RA waters
without being frightened off by a walk that is too much for them. I have
obtained some A4 official posters to put up Beddgelert Camp Site the
SNPA TIC, have you any suggestions for further sites?
See you all on
Sunday.
