WALK FOR CHILDREN IN NEED - SATURDAY 14 OCTOBER

As part of the BBC’s Countryfile Weekend of Rambles, aimed at boosting support for the charity Children in Need, the Caernarfon & Dwyfor (www.cadramblers.co.uk) group of Ramblers Cymru invite you to join them at the Brondanw Arms (Y Ring) at Garreg, Llanfrothen on Saturday 14 October.

Starting at 10.30am, the five mile walk passes Plas Brondanw before woodland footpaths lead up to open hillsides with extensive views, to reach the old toll house at Ogof Llechwyn. The descent passes close to the site of an old fort and the Twr at Wern, before a return to Y Ring and welcome refreshments.

All are welcome for this easy/moderate walk, nobody will be left behind! Just bring some lunch and a contribution to our bucket collection for Children in Need. For further information contact John on 01286 881071.

Mileage quoted as 5 in report is more accurately "less than 6"
Weather forecast for Saturday is for some rain early morning but from 8ish onwards, just cloudy.
I have done this walk on a dry day following several days of heavy rain and was surprised by the lack of bog. (can't guarantee this so don't come in flip flops)
