A fairly strenuous mountain walk at a very leisurely pace.
Essentially we go up, we come down and finish on the flat (almost)
From the head of Cwm Pennant we climb up to the head of Cwm Trwsgl before skirting the forest. Then via Bwlch Sais to Moel Lefn using the fairly steep and mainly grassy path.
Across the "plateau" to Moel yr Ogof there are a couple of rocky bits before the very easy scramble to the top.
A rocky descent leads to Bwlch Meillionen before the gradual descent through Cwm Llefrith to join the old level along Cwm Pennant, back to the ruins at Cwm Trwsgl. Finally a short fairly steep grassy return to the start point.
Allow half an hour from the main road to the head of Cwm Pennant as the road is narrow and local traffic may be going the opposite way.
The car park at the head of the Cwm is well maintained by the farmer and on the way through the farmyard there is a "courtesy box" stating Car Park £2.50 so have the appropriate change ready.
