Another great footpath maintenance day

Arfon Area Footpath Working Party, Wednesday September 17th. What a difference the weather makes! A glorious sunny warm day to clear an ancient footpath in the village of Saron, nr Caernarfon. The photos tell the story of the joy it brought to neighbours. Linda gave the whole working party a cup of tea, and wished to join the Ramblers forthwith! William nearly 90 years old, when asked how long the path had been awkward to use, pondered awhile and came up with "donkeys years". He announced he would be supplying the tea next time! Our best wishes for a speedy to recovery to Gerallt our Footpath Officer from Gwynedd Council, who was too unwell to attend. Hopefully we have given him confidence to let us work without him having to be present with us, all the time.
