Gyrn Ddu and Gyrn Goch walk Saturday 29th March,
Eleven of us set out in clearing weather following a clockwise route from Rock Cottage along the pilgrims way/costal path to above Gyrn Goch village, the pace being easy. After a tea stop the going got harder on the climb up to Gyrn Goch. Lunch was a welcome break where we regrouped just below the summit out of the wind. Onward to our next peak Gyrn Ddu. Most of the going was on grass, but the last 50/100 feet to the summit was all rock boulders which took time and care but every one made the top. Back on the grass we descended easy to the pedestrian gate in the wall and one more tea stop (how to make a hard short walk into a pleasant walk plenty of tea stops) at the finish it was 5 miles 2300 ft. of accent.
Thanks for turning up and John and Ifor for being seconded into being back markers.
