It rained all day on Thursday June 13th. Our local Smallholders Group was organising a BBQ, this was the same day for our first evening walk of the summer season. Just a few had the courage to turn up, eleven people were rewarded with a sunny evening walk along the Dyffryn Gwyrfai. We told the story of Antur Waunfawr, remembered that the Snowdonia Riding Stables was a leading equine establishment in North Wales. We walked up the other side of the Valley overlooking the pleasant village of Waunfawr. As we descended back into the valley we were rewarded with glades of bluebells, past their best, but a still a delightful blue carpet.
Anne, Derek and Wendy, all recent new members, had a gentle introduction to the joys of Rambling with Ca/Dw Group in beautiful North Wales.
