Well here I am at home in front of a warm wood fire, drinking a delicious glass of red Grand Reserve Quinta del Conde, looking back at a fantastic day in sunny Llanberis!!!
Thanks to everybody who turned up, devotees to the last.
Eighteen started and eighteen finished; Edmund was very pleased with that and we did not need the coms once. The rain did make the downhill section very treacherous, but everyone made their own pace and we reached the road safely.
The route was through Coed doctor and on up through the quarries to the old road from Waenfawr. Then headed to the hill fort and keeping to the high track heading towards Bwlch Maesgwyn turned off to Hebron chapel, Cwm Aelhir down to the road midway along Llyn Peris We finished the day off in Pete’s Eats before returning to the cars.
Nigel.
And thanks to the back marker Guto.
