Well, we got it right this time – the two groups actually met up! With good weather after early morning cloud the Stride group enjoyed walking a good stretch of the Wales Coast Path, after catching the bus to Tudweiliog. With the tide out the rocky coast was dotted with seals basking in the sun or idling in the sea swell, the seals outnumbering the few families enjoying the lovely sandy bays along the way. Later, approaching the Porth Dinlaen headland and with only one near miss from a wayward golf ball, who should we see walking just above us but Dave & Pats Stroll group. There you go, Edmund, this getting together does work sometimes!
So we had a combined walk around the headland, a look at the state of the art lifeboat in the open station, then with glasses in hand we joined the crowds on the beach in front of Ty Coch. With music as well, what a contrast to the hours that had gone before!
Then the amble along the beach back to Morfa Nefyn, rounding off some nice coastal walking and a visit to Porth Dinlaen, one of the gems of Wales.
