Our joint walk with Bangor & Bethesda group was well supported, with 30 people turning up, two from as far away as Wrexham. It was termed a joint walk, but all we C&D folk did was join the rest in following Chris Parry as she followed an intricate route of paths and lanes. We eventually topped out above a former Youth Hostel, Bryn Hall, high up on the open moor below Gyrn and Moel Wnion.

Our coffee stop had been taken at the lovely spot on the banks of the Afon Ogwen, below the A5 at Half Way Bridge, while lunch was a little different, as we hunkered down out of the wind in an old trial quarry working. Then a nice descent with good vies over the Straits and (thankfully), a bridge to take us over the thundering A55. The walk finished with a chorus of thanks to Chris for providing a good day and, for many of us, a visit to places not seen before.
