Sunday 12 February Bwlchgwernog and Bwlch y Battel Walk 10am start.

The forecast looks reasonable for Sunday’s walk, which starts in the NT car park in Nantmor. We will walk up through the village then over to Afon Nanmor to follow the river to Gelli Iago, from where we climb towards Cnicht before heading south over Bwlch y Battel to a shelter ‘cave’.

From there we pick up the old Roman/packhorse/drover track from Croesor back to Nantmor. Expect some wet sections, but finishing on the switchback road back into Nantmor will take your mind of any dampness! An eight mile, fairly energetic walk to parts less visited, but no big climbs.
