PostSubject: Along the Forydd Caernarfon to Llanflagan old Church. Tuesday February 7th 10am   Sun Feb 05, 2017 6:35 am

We have a walk this week on Tuesday February 7th 10am start at Tesco's Caernarfon CP. This seven mile walk is along the Forydd and fields to Llanflagan old Church, returning along Lon Eifion cycle track.. Llanflagan old Church has been in the news recently as it it is the final resting place for Tony Armstrong Jones, Princess Margaret's former husband. His funeral service was just a couple of weeks ago. This disused Church is supported by the charity 'Friends of Friendless Churches' and has recently taken the decision to keep the Church unlocked for walkers and other visitors.
This walk is seven miles and entirely flat, however there is much historical and natural interest. Bird life along the Forydd and an ancient Church. It is muddy in parts especially at pinch points where cattle have been fed. Forecast the dreaded 'sunshine and showers' A gaiters essential walk! Refreshments will be sought in Caernarfon.
