This Saturday, November 5th a 5 miles leisurely walk taking in two tops Tre'r Ceiri (1500ft) and Yr Eifl (1770 ft) and a large number of Iron Age Houses and ramparts around the summit of Tre'r Ceiri.
A steady ascent leads to Tre'r Ceiri that steepens as we approach the top. We then go around inside the ramparts to the "entrance" where we leave!! for a walk across the valley and then ascent of Yr Eifl.
The descent back to the start point is fairly steady across open moorland.
The walk starts from the Car Park North of Llithfaen (follow the signs to Nant Gwertheyrn, turning off the B4417 in the centre of Llithfaen) leading to the car park at. MR SH 353440.
After the walk there is a very nice cafe in Nant Gwrtheyrn, a very steep descent (and ascent on the return) strongly favours driving rather than walking to the cafe.
Be on the car park ready for the 10:30 start
As of now on a wet Thursday afternoon, the forecast for Saturday is good; sunny intervals and light/medium breeze with temperature 7 - 8 C.
