The Annual General meeting of the Caernarfon and Dwyfor group of Ramblers Cymru will take place on Thursday November 10th 2016 at the memorial hall Penygroes (SH468530)
Th meeting will commence at 7;30pm with a talk by Aled Taylor, a retired National Park warden with responsibilities for Paths and for Mountain Rescue.
This will be followed by a short break for refreshments before the business of the meeting

JH is retiring as Secretary but is remaining on the committee
Margaret Lowe has agreed to take on the role of Secretary
IN is retiring as Treasurer and is not remaining on the committee
Guto Parry has agreed to take on the role of Treasurer
Chris Jones is retiring from the committee
Dave Woods has agreed to take on the role of Vice-Chairman on occasions when DJ is away.
Edmund Plaxton has agreed to continue as Newsletter Editor but will not be serving on the committee
The roles of Membership Secretary and Social secretary are to be decided
Three members have indicated their willingness to serve on the committee:-
Keith Griffiths, Joan Glass and Hefina Rowley
Any member who is willing to join the committee will be welcome
7. Motion before the AGM proposed by Dave Woods and seconded by Guto Parry
The meeting agrees that a change of name from "Ramblers" to "Walking GB" (or similar) will improve the image of Ramblers and bring the organisation into the 21st century thus attracting younger people and ensuring that the organisation flourishes in future years.
It therefore asks that a motion to this effect goes forward to the agenda of the North Wales Area of Ramblers Cymru at its annual general meeting in January
