A shorter walk Wednesday May 27th to Fort Belan start 11am.

You are invited to join Edmund and Rachel, for a special five mile walk to Fort Belan on Wednesday May 27th. It is part of the Ca/Dw shorter walks programme. We park in the Airport CP, just below the Air Museum. We shall see the impressive new Hanger for the Coast Guard Rescue Service, we might even catch a glimpse of the rather large new helicopter?
Wild flowers are at their best along the way, including great drifts of sea thrift. Rachel will be at hand to identify as many of the flower sightings as possible. Lunch will be taken seated around the Harbour at the Fort. We can wander around the grounds, but the Fort's buildings are occupied with holiday makers. Our return will be via the beach. A panad will be available at the cafe afterwards.
