Aberglaslyn, Cwm Bychan and Llyn Dinas walk - 10.30am, Sunday 23 November

We might all have done this walk in the past, but at this time of the year, with leaves fast disappearing from the trees and the river high after rainy days high up at Glaslyn, it’s still a walk to savour and enjoy once more. The Fisherman’s Path through spectacular Aberglaslyn, the winding track past the remains of copper mining in Cwm Bychan, the lovely view of Llyn Dinas and beyond from the bwlch, then the riverside path and lane back to Beddgelert, all have their own magic.

There might be more exciting walks in Snowdonia, but not many low level walks can beat this one. Join me outside the Tanronnen Hotel in Beddgelert for the start of the walk, then inside for some refreshment when we return.
