Johns walk went well today with ten people and two of them on a taster walk. (Graham has already booked them into doing some hard labour on a path far far away). Great weather outstanding views interesting history, some of the huts could do with a bit of Edmunds cottage insulation! The only down side was that John could not be with us due to his traumatic calf injury. (John were you attempting the north face of staircase with ropes and crampons?) Any way I leave you with Johns description of the route, in case you want to do it, recommended. Start CP at SH 353440
Cross road & follow track, roughly SE keeping the wall on your right.
In few hundred yd there is a stone "panorama" map.
Continue with wall on R and as approach trees, bear left at 358436. Follow easy track (NE) to gate at 365440.
Follow path/track to 369443 (stile or gate).
Roughish path to 370 443 then bear left & follow track via 371445 and climb to the right past viewpoint. Follow fairly obvious path over rocks to summit of Tre'r Ceiri.
Leave summit to North for few yds then follow wall round to your left keeping inside the wall to the "main entrance" at 373446. (Don't take any earlier way through wall.)
Through the "entrance" turn right then downhill for about 50 yds. Join path to your left.
At 372447 take path down to your right & cross wall just before the "rocky bit".
The path up to yr Eifl is reasonable but a bit indistinct in places.
From the summit head roughly south and follow fairly obvious path, with Tre'r Ceiri on your left heading downhill back to Car Park.
