The weather forecast for Wednesday looks promising - thin cloud, the possibility of some sunshine, and just the chance of a light shower later in the afternoon. With low tide at 10.30am the walk from Traeth Lligwy to Traeth Coch should be as good as when we walked it last spring.
An earlier start than usual, 9.30am at the car park/bus stop in Pentraeth to make sure we catch the 9.37 bus to Rhos Lligwy. From there we walk down to the sea before heading for Moelfre, passing the site of the Royal Charter disaster on the way. More recent history is marked at Moelfre itself, as we pass a bronze statue of Dic Evans, the highly decorated former coxwain of the Moelfre lifeboat.
Beaches, small cliffs, some holiday chalets and Benllech are taken in before we reach Red Wharf Bay. The muddy shoreline might still be a little sticky here, the last coastal section before we wind our way inland back to Pentraeth.
If you can join us, then I look forward to seeing you.
