| Subject: WALK ON WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 14TH - START PWLLHELI RAILWAY STATION Mon Oct 12, 2009 2:52 am | |
| There is of course a mistake in the walks booklet, which I faithfully copied over, regarding this walk. It is WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 14TH.[/b] Margeret suggests that we avoid parking near or at the Railway Station as it is METERED. Instead turn left after the Station and head for the beach. There plenty of FREE parking on the roadsides as you go down. Margaret has asked me to say that this will be leisurely walk suitable for everyone, but especially suitable to bring firends, who say they will coming walking with you one day, but have a anxiety about abilities. There is one challenge up Criag y Dafaid, but it is soon over! Of course there will lovely views over the sea to Harlech, and maybe dolphins? The walk finishes at Llanbedrog, where there will an excellent cup of tea and more, at Oriel Las Glyn y Weddew. This is a bijou art gallery, which is currently showing old photos of Pwlheli and surrounding areas. We shall be catching a Bus No 18 or 19 back to Pwllheli, to reach the cars. If you have earnt it, bring your bus pass! The forecast is dry. Rachel and I will be there. If you need a lift ring 01286 880188. There are plenty of buses going to Pwllheli. Edmund | |
