After using the new Bryn Gwyn railway track we climbed up towards Moel Smytho. The sun shone brighter and brighter, we stuck close to Ifor as he led us through a myriad of small local paths. Jo a new walker began to suffer, so on the way down we split into two groups. Edmund, Guto and Jo went directly back to Carmel, while the others took even more circuitous routes back to the Pennionyn PH. Ifor's nine miles, measured by a piece of string, turned out to be 11.5 miles on the GPS, The pub had laid on refreshments for the our group of walkers, very welcome indeed. Ifor's walks are a unique experience.
