A relatively easy, just under 6 mi walk visiting Llyn Tecwyn Isaf and Llyn Tecwyn Uchaf.
Essentially we go up and we come down with only a minimum of switchback in between.
From Talsarnau station there is a leisurely, mainly uphill section via lanes and paths to the proposed 'amser coffi' by Llyn Tecwyn Isaf.
A further uphill section leads to the highest point of the walk at Llandecwyn church.
Apart from a couple of very short bits (put in to avoid trades description problems) it is genuinely 'all downhill' (and flat) from here with a descent through a narrow rocky valley to Llandecwyn and a level (apart from a short mud avoidance section) trek along the flood embankment, back to the start.
In the absence of cloud, mist and rain (not guaranteed) there are glorious views across the Dwyryd Estuary from a large part of the route.
A train leaving Porthmadog just before 10 will get you to Talsarnau before the start time of 10:30. Return trains are at about 2:30 and 4:30.
The 2:30 time is possible but might be a bit ambitious but it is possible to catch a return train from Llandecwyn as we pass close to Llandecwyn station a mile or so before the end of the walk.
Overall, a relatively easy, under 6 miles walk with glorious views.
Car parking is fairly limited at the start but there are a couple of alternative car parks within a few hundred yards of the station.
