Wednesday's walk January 2nd 10-30am at Caernarfon Airport Car Park is green for go. The forecast light rain? Lots of fun lined up. The walk starts along the bird reserve of the Foryd. (Binoculars recommended to view overwintering birds). Jean Blundell mine host at Fort Belan will welcome us at the Fort for a personal tour, a chance to have our sandwiches under shelter. We return via the shoreline to the Caernarfon Airport Museum (Entrance £3.00 which is half price)! Roy Gamblin ex RAF Harrier Pilot and friend from the Meirionnydd Group will guide us around the Museum, which includes an actual Harrier jet fighter. Afterwards at the the Airport Cafe. What could be better following so much time indoors over the Festive Period. Hopefully we can expect a lot of people on the walk, so regulars please be aware of fresh faces.
