This is a repeat of a walk we did last year in foul weather hopefully this time we might be a bit luckier. To keep it interesting for those who joined me last year I am going to reverse the route this time.

From the car park at Porth Ysgo we follow the coastal path for about three and a half miles around Penarfynydd and Mynydd Y Graig .Next we make the short ascent of Mynydd Rhiw (984ft) on paths and tracks, if it’s clear the views from the summit are superb. We then follow the path down past the tracking station into the village of Rhiw. From here it’s cross country across the fields back to the car park passing the lovely little church of Llanraelrhys on the way.

The best way to find the car park is to approach Aberdaron on the B4413 go over the bridge in the village and take the road up the hill past the church then follow the road for exactly 1.8miles to the cross roads take the right turn here and follow the narrow lane for about .05mile just after the duck pond you will find the car park on the right behind the farm buildings its £2 for the day.

This is a really nice walk, 99% on paths and tracks, no rough stuff, and gentle climbs and descents.
