Mynydd Mawr (Elephant Mountain). Saturday September 1st, start 11am

It is looking good for Saturday's walk. Two things to note
1. The start tine is 11am
2. The meeting place is a gravelly cleared space, as you enter the hamlet of Y Fron. On what could be described the village green? It is kept mown by the local sheep, at no extra cost to the Council.
This is a real mountain. There are vertiginous drops along the path up the mountain. There are no scrambles, footpaths all the way. We shall probably have lunch at the Elephant's head, then along its back to the summit. There we shall decide on the route down, according to the weather. Refreshments at base camp.
