Mountain Walking Holidays
Peak Navigation Courses & Mountain House Holidays. E-Mail jane@mountain-house.co.uk

Hello,

We are members of Sheffield 40’s Walking Group and our group chair has suggested we write to you as she believes we have something good to offer other Ramblers groups. So we hope you don't mind us contacting you in this way.

We have for some years arranged holidays for walking groups in Spain’s Sierra Nevada and Alpujarra; a great place for year round walking. More recently we have been spreading our wings, and exploring other venues. As a result we have put together the following possibilities:

Our Walking Holidays and Treks:
Winter Sun in the Alpujarra region of Andalucia. February March
Easter and Spring in the Alpujarra region of Andalucia. April / May
Amazing religious processions during the evenings of Easter week. Spring is a great time for flowers and birds.
Trekking in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains June
Walking in mainland Spain’s highest mountains, July to October
The Sierra Nevada. It may be too hot in the valleys, but in the mountains sunny though 15 to 20 degrees is normal.
The Integral. A supported backpacking trek July / August
Traversing the 3000m peaks of Spain’s Sierra Nevada Mountains
Walking in the Catalan Pyrenees September / October
Hut to Hut in Slovenia’s Julian Alps September
Beautiful alpine scenery, with a possible ascent of Mt Triglav.

Walking Triglav National ParkWhy use us?
Unlike some of the bigger companies, we and anyone who works for us is a qualified International Mountain Leader who has not only been examined but has to demonstrate ongoing professional development to keep the qualification. This is important as we are operating in hilly and mountainous areas and is also a legal requirement through much of Europe.

We have spent time researching and visiting each area (for trips to the Sierra Nevada and Alpujarra, we have spent many months walking there), and our team know each itinerary well ensuring that you get the very best walks in each area. This also means we can be flexible, and plan a trip to meet your groups aspirations and ability.

Although as a small company we cannot provide flights, our holidays are full board in good hotels or mountain huts. Once we meet you at your destination airport, we provide all transport, food and accommodation and walking itineraries every day. You only need to provide your flights and insurance.
A typical price for a 7 day hotel based holiday in 2013 is £600 for a group of 12 to 24.
