Don't be put off by the "Road Closed" signs at either end of the road through Tanyrallt. The roadworks are east of Tanyrallt and may not block the road but there is no problem from the Llanllyfni 'end' providing you ignore the ROAD CLOSED signs.
Following last weekend's recce, the route has been modified to avoid a very dodgy descent through rampant vegetation, a re-route made even more essential following a couple of days of heavy rain.
We will climb to the bwlch between Garnedd Goch and Graig Goch along the side of Cwm number 1. This will bring us to the head of Cwm number 2. We will then head along the ridge where, weather permitting we will have a good view of Cwm number 3 and reach the highest point at over 2400 ft. A descent into Cwm number 4 will then lead back to the start.
With the re-route, the B+ designation could lose the + and the terrain is not particularly difficult although still fairly strenuous.
See you on Saturday
